Even today this statement works to fill everyone’s heart with enthusiasm. Many knights had a great contribution in getting freedom to India. But among them there was such a brave man whose thoughts are still alive in the hearts of the people. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is the son of Mother India.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was such a freedom fighter, who formed his own army to fight against the British. The Government of India has also decided to celebrate the birthday of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the founder of Azad Hind Fauj, on January 23 as Bravery Day. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897. He established the first Indian armed force which was named Azad Hind Fauj.
Netaji was born in Odisha and was a bright student. He always got top rank in both school and university. In 1918, he completed his graduation in Philosophy with first division. In 1920, he passed the Civil Service Examination in England, although a few days later in 1921, he resigned in view of the Indian independence struggle.
Between 1920 and 1930, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was counted among the young and radical leaders of the Indian National Congress. After this, he also became the President of the Indian National Congress in 1938 and 1939. During 1921 to 1941, he also went to jail several times for Purna Swaraj. He believed that freedom cannot be achieved through non-violence.
During World War II, he traveled to countries like the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, Japan and sought cooperation against the British. After this, he established the Azad Hind Fauj in Japan. Earlier, those people were included in this army, who were taken captive by Japan. Later Indian volunteers based in Burma and Malaya were also recruited in this army. Also, people living outside the country at that time also joined this army.
Netaji started the Azad Hind radio station in Germany and led the Indian national movement in East Asia. Subhash Chandra Bose believed that Shrimad Bhagwat Gita was the main source of inspiration for him. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre disturbed him so much that he jumped into the freedom struggle of India.
On September 12, 1944, at the Jubilee Hall of Rangoon, on the commemoration day of Martyr Yatindra Das, Netaji gave a very touching speech and said – ‘ Now our freedom is certain, but freedom demands sacrifice. You give me blood, I will give you freedom. ‘ This was the sentence that breathed life into the youth of the country, which is written in golden letters not only in the history of India but also in the world.
On August 16, 1945, Netaji’s plane crashed at Taihoku airport while leaving for Tokyo and the one who proclaimed the immortality of independent India, the beloved of Mother India, became immortal forever by lighting the divine flame of patriotism.
